Service Description: Provides emergency shelter, housing, counselling and support to abused women and their children

24 Hour Abused Women's Helpline and Walk-In Crisis Support - support, information and referrals * also serves adult males by telephone seeking advice for their women friends * walk-in crisis support to women and children not currently residing in shelter

Wellington and Clarke Road Shelters - emergency shelters * programs available to residents include individual and group counselling for women and children, child care and parent relief for mothers * emergency transportation to shelter by taxi if necessary * Clarke Road facility includes three semi-independent apartments

Second Stage Housing - safe rent-geared-to-income housing for women and their children for up to one year * support program

Transitional Outreach Program - provides support to women entering into or leaving shelter and Second Stage Housing and to those in the community who are in need of support related to abuse in their lives * offers safety planning, assistance navigating the legal and financial systems, and connections to other supports in the community

Public Education - provided to the community through presentations to service clubs, church and school groups, associations and information fairs
Languages (other than English): Interpretation and American Sign Language services available
Application: Self referral - call or drop in for support and service
Fees: None for shelter * rent geared to income for Second Stage Housing
