Service Description: Provides services to help with basic needs

Material Aid - food bank providing mostly canned and dry goods, with three day supply once every three months * clothing, furniture and household items available where there is desperate need * works with other community programs to provide emergency and supplementary assistance

Christmas Hamper Program - provides food baskets (children under 12 years receive gifts and clothing) * identification (ID) required (e.g. Ontario Health Insurance Program (OHIP) Card and Ontario Works drug/dental stub, and birth certificates) and proof of address * people who are employed should bring pay stubs, support payments, etc. as proof of income

  • Family Tracing Program
  • Lifestyles Cooking Classes (Hope's Kitchen)
  • Literacy Classes
  • Job Club
  • Tax Clinic (February-April)
  • Languages (other than English): Arranges for interpretation if necessary
    Application: Identification for each family member (e.g. drug card, birth certificate, etc.), proof of income (e.g. Ontario Works, pay stubs, etc.) and proof of residence required for Material Aid and Christmas hampers
