Service Description: |
Family birthing centre * preadmission consultation with a nurse to discuss a birthing plan, medical history, etc. * 3 birthing rooms, 4 traditional labour rooms, 1 delivery room and one Caesarean Section operating room * 20 bed Mother Baby Care Unit * birthing services include 24 hour obstetrical consultant coverage, co-operative arrangements with midwives, 24 hour infant rooming-in
Tours and classes:
Hospital Tour and Information Night - Helps prepare parents for the upcoming birth of their child * 7-9 pm Thursdays * registration required (for adults only) * $5 fee
Sibling Tours - Prepares children for their mother's hospital stay and a new arrival to the family * one hour program held once a month * registration required, free
